Ever since Nokia 3310 took MWC 2017 by storm, even though it was a clear marketing ploy. The company told me it has sold a lot of those phones, and this year at MWC 2018 it’s following it up with another reworked classic: the Nokia 8110.
The Matrix phone is reloaded with more soup-up feature as to compare with last year 3310. It has Wi-Fi, basic app support and 4G. However, this is still very much a ‘feature phone’, so don’t expect it to come running Android or offering access to the Google Play store. Nokia reps stated that you’ll be able download a Facebook app, and hopefully more in the future.
The one spec that puts modern smartphones to shame is the battery life, You can compare the pros and cons about this phone with other basic smartphone in the market. But when it comes battery life, it outlast its competitor by a mile at 20 days standby time with 8 hour talktime in one full charge.
The return of the icon. Much like the original, the new Nokia 8110 4G has a curved protective cover you can slide open to pick up calls and slide back to end them. The unique shape also means you can spin the phone in ways you never imagined.
Effortlessly import contacts and sync your calendar through Gmail and Outlook.
You can surf, chat and stream faster with 4G LTE. Plus, the wireless Hotspot feature lets you create your own Wi-Fi connection wherever you are.
The Qualcomm® 205 mobile platform is optimised to bring performance without compromising on battery life, bringing up to 25 days of standby time from a single charge.
