Oppo Reno 7 Singapore

samsung a13 singapore

The latest Oppo Reno 7 is a phone that the company is trying to make a lot of noise about. It’s the first phone from Oppo to break the $500 barrier and it’s designed to compete directly with the big brands like the Pixel 6 and Galaxy S22. In many ways, the Reno 7 seems to be a response to those phones. It’s a big phone, but it feels smaller than its size would suggest.
There is no denying that the Oppo Reno 7 5G is a notable contender amongst mid-range phones. It adopts the new Color OS 12, which is practical yet pleasing to look at. Additionally, the phone features clever AI advancements for photography that make it a joy to use. These advancements include Portrait Mode with Depth Control and Night Mode 2.0.
It’s all in the name of finding a balance between, on the one hand, making a Reno 7 looks futuristic but, on the other, making a phone that people actually want to use in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and a matching price.

Design:

It’s a solid build, but it doesn’t have a boxy design like the Reno 7 Pro. It’s an interesting phone, but it’s not a revolutionary one. It doesn’t break any new ground, but it’s still a well-built phone that’s worth a look if you need a big phone on a budget. That makes it practical over anything revolutionary.
It’s a phone that trialed a glass sandwich design on the Reno 6, but it went back to a metal construction on the Reno 7. Even though it’s made of metal, it still feels like a premium phone. At 173 grams and 7.81 mm thick, it doesn’t weigh much, and it feels comfortable to hold with one hand, thanks to its 6.43-inch screen that more compact than most similar range smartphones.

Display:

The all-new Oppo Reno 7 comes equipped with an AMOLED HDR10+ 6.43 inch flat-edged display with a light chin at the bottom, in addition to Oppo's new Color OS 12. This makes it one of the most visually stunning devices on the market today. The display itself is breathtaking, and to an extent it's as if the display is embedded deeper inside the frame. This gives it a truly immersive experience that can't be found on other devices.

The Reno 7 has a display that is designed for gamers. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits. This makes it an ideal phone for gaming, as it provides a smooth and immersive experience.

Performance and Software:

The Oppo Reno 7 is one of the most powerful mid-range phones on the market. It comes with 8GB of RAM, which is impressive for a phone of this caliber. On top of that, it is powered by MediaTek's latest flagship phone processor, MT6877 Dimensity 900. In our testing, it scored 671 on the Geekbench test, which is a head above the rest when compared to other mid-range phones.

Camera:

The camera on the Oppo Reno 7 is also impressive. Its 64MP main camera sits within a glass-like or transparent module, along with an 8MP Ultra-wide and 2MP Macro camera.
This allows for a range of photo outputs, the most basic being a standard photo output. It also has several other advanced functions to help resolve over or underexposure in your photo and easily capture sceneries.
Although the Reno 7 does not quite measure up to be the flagship-grade smartphone, but it is a reliable option for everyday snaps of your usual food photography or selfie. The 30MP camera at the front provides great detail and clarity, making this phone perfect for social media posts.
The AI does a decent job at separating subjects from the background and the artificial blur effect is dealt with proficiently.
