Samsung has yet again released another version of its innovative foldable phones by introducing the Galaxy Z Fold 2, a successor phone of the Galaxy Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 2's design includes better features, with a larger display screen and higher durability.
In this presentation slide, let`s take a look at the latest foldable powerhouse from Samsung.
Z Fold 2 gives users the ability to open it as they would open a book, transforming the phone into a large display roughly the size of a tablet's.
A new feature that adds on to the original phone's shortcoming is that the Z Fold 2 has a broader front and an internal display. The Z Fold 2's external display is around 6.2 inches, significantly increasing from the original Fold's display screen of 4.6 inches to make the product ease of use.
At 7.6 inches, the internal display size sees a significant increase, and there is a replacement of the device's side notch in the original design with the camera cut-out feature, whereas the display also has a high-speed refresh rate of 120Hz.
A fine layer of glass had replaced the previous Fold's plastic shield to protects the phone's internal display screen, making it more durable and precise to use.
The phone's body is slim, with a minute air gap being present between the screen halves once the phone is folded shut. Like its predecessor, the Z Fold 2 contains a hinge design that lets the phone open up at any given angle.
The Hinge includes a 'sweeper' with vacuum type properties, preventing dirt and debris from impacting the phone's durability. Even though the device has been advertised to be protected from water droplets, it is not necessarily water-resistant.
Flex Mode gives users access to divide their phone screens and use one halve for typing, while the other for viewing content. Similarly, they can split their screens to views different videos as well.
This innovative feature works well, but most applications do not properly utilize it. It is a new and unique feature, and not many apps have recognized its potential so far. This feature can very well amp up the gaming experience and increase the productivity level.
It is incredibly efficient and fun to take pictures of yourself in the Flex Mode(half-open). The phone contains camera lenses that allow you to take high definition pictures and view it for extra details by tapping on it on the screen.
Most of the apps understand this foldable phone's design and technology, which can be viewed as you are watching tv shows on Disney Plus or simply browsing on the web.
The change from a large screen to a smaller one is relatively smooth and efficient, allowing users to work on their tasks on one screen comfortably and then unfolding for a better viewing experience.
This foldable phone gives you the option of multitasking, usually not heavily emphasized on regular smartphones.
Users can now perform other tasks while they are viewing a movie. They keep the film in one area of the display and then complete their other tasks on the remaining display screen.
Fold 2 has endless potential when it comes to this feature.
The Asphalt 9, an exceptional game with user-friendly controls, can be played easily on smaller phone screens. But to amp up your gaming experience with better details and visuals, you need to play it on the Z Fold 2.
Not only are the graphics vivid, but the music is also quite loud, thanks to the speakers of the Fold 2. Asphalt 9 fits the entire display, and switching to and from SAMOLED and High Quality does not affect the performance whatsoever. 120Hz display makes playing this game a smooth and fun experience.
Z Fold 2 is also equipped with the 5G feature and can utilize 5G networks available locally in Singapore. It is faster and reliable and keeps you in touch with the latest news and updates — you will never miss out on anything also in the future.
This phone comprises 2 batteries that add up to 4,500 mAh, which is adequate for a portable device.
Instead of locking the refresh rate at 120 Hz, Samsung uses an adaptive mode feature, which automatically switches the display behavior to ensure that the refresh rate does not affect battery performance and endurance.
Samsung Z Fold 2 contains 3 rear camera, a 12 MP wide-angle primary camera, an ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with 12 MP, and a 2x telephoto lens that can zoom to up to 10x digitally.
The camera of this foldable phone has several unique features that make it stand out. For instance, Dual Preview allows users to see how they look from the front screen while taking a selfie. It also gives users the option to click HD selfies from the rear camera.
To see a live preview, you need to use the camera, which is given on top of the cover display, and pressing the button on the phone's top right part. Pressing this will prompt your phone to provide you with the option to access a preview of the picture.
